So...I'm listening to music as I write this. I had no idea what I was going to write about when I sat down...as usual. But then I started "feeling" the mood of the music and I had a random thought: Why and how does music effect us?
The song I'm listening to is "Come save" by Sarah Reeves. It's a good song. Go listen to it.
It's making me feel inspired, elevated, and thoughtful. It times like these that I get a glimpse of just how awesome and wonderful God really is. Such a great God is He!
Without Him, we would be, quite literally, nothing.
Ahh, the internet has stopped working and my music is no longer playing. I hate our internet.
Yay! It's back up!
Now I'm listening to "Boat song" by J J Heller. Sweet song.
Makes me feel like a child and an old wise person at the same time. Weird. Yet wonderful.
I think people listen to music different ways. For me, it's more about the tune, the sound, the melody. I like the words too, and some songs just wouldn't be the same without them. However, I tend to base my preference for a song based on how the melody made me feel. Not the words.
My sister, Miranda, now she likes the words. She can't understand the deep soul feeling I get when I listen to the violin strums of Lindsey Stirling's songs.
She would rather hear the words and base her feelings for the song off those.
I wonder why God made us like and appreciate different types of music?
Musical thoughts.
